We were approached by the Learn Wave team with a clear goal: to help them rebuild their existing products and redesign their entire line of educational tools.

The scope of the project soon expanded. We were not only redesigning interfaces, but also rethinking mobile, desktop, and classroom experiences across multiple user roles — students, teachers, principals, and content creators.

Our client operates a K12 online education business, offering both live-streamed and in-person synchronized classes. In addition to product design, they asked us to provide team training and workflow consulting for their internal design department.

A System, Not a Set of Apps

Before our involvement, the platform had grown into a patchwork of disconnected systems.

Each role had its own interface, its own workflows, and its own technical quirks. There was no unified logic, no shared design language, and no consistency across products.

Our first task was to make sense of this complexity — and turn it into a single, scalable ecosystem.

Designed Around Roles, Not Features

We didn’t start from screens — we started from people.

Students, teachers, principals, and researchers each had different needs, priorities, and behavior patterns.

Instead of building one product with shared layouts, we created a suite of tailored environments — each aligned with the actual work each user needs to do.

This role-centered approach lowered the learning curve and made each product feel purposeful.

From Lesson Planning to Classroom Presence

We designed a full-cycle system that connects lesson preparation with real-time classroom delivery.

Teachers can organize teaching materials, preview courseware, and reference expert demos during preparation.

When they switch to teaching mode — either in a live-stream or physical classroom — the system automatically handles slide playback, interactive timing, and real-time responses.

What used to be separate phases now feel like one seamless teaching experience.

A Personalized Path for Every Student

Students use the mobile app to check class reminders, view schedules, complete assignments, and upload homework photos.

Each task — from a quiz to a post-class exercise — is tied to a reward system that lets them earn points.

These points can be used to unlock items and customize their personal avatar.

By embedding a visual, gamified feedback loop, we help students stay engaged and motivated.

Content Creation Meets Live Data

For researchers and content creators, we developed an AI-powered course production system.

They can assemble multimedia lessons from a centralized material library, configure interactive triggers, and define success/failure logic.

After a class goes live, real-time data — including engagement rates and student performance — is fed back into the system.

This enables rapid iteration of curriculum design, backed by real usage insight.

A Unified Language, Across Every Screen

To ensure visual and behavioral consistency across all products, we created a comprehensive design system.

It includes typography, colors, motion, spacing, and standardized UI components for mobile, desktop, and classroom displays.

This system not only accelerates future development, but also gives users a coherent, comfortable experience — no matter which device they’re on.

Experience Isn’t a Layer. It’s a Foundation.

We ran live interviews and usability tests with actual users — students, teachers, and school leaders — to understand how they think and act.

Based on this research, we implemented a UX analytics system that scores real-time performance using a five-dimensional PSQ model.

This enables the client to continuously measure and improve their product experience after launch.

For us, UX isn’t just a deliverable. It’s a process of learning and evolving.

From Chaos to Cohesion

Originally split across twelve separate systems, Learn Wave is now a single, well-structured platform.

Students enjoy uninterrupted learning journeys.
Teachers gain reliable, intuitive tools.
Researchers operate within a responsive feedback loop.
Principals gain clear visibility across institutions.

Every role is now supported with systems that feel natural and connected.

Learn Wave is no longer a collection of tools.
It’s a coherent, stable, and extensible ecosystem.
